About this course

This course is designed for people who already have already used PI Vision and are looking to enhance their displays with more advanced PI Vision features.  Advanced features in PI Vision have a strong reliance on AF so having experience working with PI System Explorer is helpful.

By the end of the course, you will be able to...

  • Create collections that can be used as on-screen navigation symbols
  • Utilize the Events Table to analyze event frames in PI Vision
  • Create dynamic hyperlinks using PI System Explorer and AF
  • Use the Ad Hoc workspace in PI Vision
  • Create advanced calculations in PI Vision
  • Configure an XY dataset to be used as a reference curve

Audience

This course is designed for people who already understand the fundamentals of PI Vision and how to create basic displays.

Level: Intermediate

Study time: 10 hours

Course Access: Unlimited access to all content except the Training Cloud Environment (TCE).  You have 30 days access to the TCE starting on the day you access module section "Launch Cloud Environment". 

After those 30 days you can purchase additional access with one of the two options below:

Prerequisites

  • Able to create displays with PI Vision
  • Have basic experience working with PI System Explorer
  • A computer that can access our YouTube content.

Software Requirements

The course will walk through a particular use case and will use a few files stored on a Training Cloud Environment. However, learners are encouraged to adapt the exercises and use their own software and data structures as they see fit. This allows each learner to immediately leave the course with something valuable to their enterprise. In order to complete the exercises, you will need the following software:

  • PI Vision 2021 or later (connected to PI Data Archive and Asset Framework)
